Your Questions, Our Answers

1. Can we pick what music gets played?

You may be as involved as you'd like in music selection. Normally, clients will provide some type of music list, usually between 5 and 30 songs. On average during an event’s dancing portion, we play anywhere between 40 and 60 songs. This is why, depending on the length of your list, we ask that you have 15 to 20 “must plays”. That way, Baciami associates will know which songs are most important.

2. Why provide a DJ and MC at every event?

A DJ & MC are provided at every event so that Baciami can help coordinate everything with you and the vendors you've hired. For wedding receptions, Baciami associates will find the Bridesmaids and Groomsmen for the Bridal Party Dance, and we will notify you before any important activities happen. This will keep your reception running smooth. Also, for couples who want our associates to be interactive, having two associates allows one to pass out party props, teach dances, and interact with your guests while the other continues to play music.

3. For how many hours will Baciami provide entertainment?

Typical Saturday evening wedding receptions last 6 hours, as most banquet halls offer packages between 5 & 6 hours. Total playing time will be agreed upon before the event, up to 6 hours, at $100/hour. If the client desires extra time, above and beyond the agreed playing time, then overtime is available for $150/hour.

4. How far in advance should an event be booked?
Depending on availability, ceremonies are booked anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 years in advance…most wedding couples book between 6 and 18 months in advance. We perform at several events a night, so the earlier you book with us the better chance you have securing the specific package you desire.

5. What if we want a song you don't have?

We guarantee 100% of your requests! As long as we have your final song list one month prior to the event, and the music is available to buy.

6. Can Baciami Entertainment use a fog or bubble machine?

We have fog machines, etc, available at no extra cost. However, please be sure to check with your banquet facility to see if they allow them (some don’t).

7. How many appointments can I make with Baciami?

As many as you need! Most couples will have a minimum of two meetings, one initial meeting when you book, and a final meeting at least one month prior to the wedding to set all the specific details. However, if you need to arrange more meetings to listen to music or to ask any questions, give us a call!

8. Where do we have to meet?

Baciami will arrange to meet with you at the time and location of your choice, or we can always have a phone consultation to go through any details and to answer any/all questions.

9. Is set-up time included in your price?

There is no extra cost for setup or breakdown of equipment. We charge only for the actual time we play. The only exception to that is for events in the Chicago Loop, where we charge an extra $200 to cover the extra 2-3 hours of setup & tear-down time.

10. Do the DJ & MC take breaks?

There is no break in the entertainment schedule. This is one of the many reasons why Baciami provides a minimum of two associates at each reception. By doing this we can play non-stop throughout the entire event.

11. Can we make a DO-NOT-PLAY list?

Yes of course!!! Along with a playlist you can make a DO-NOT-PLAY list, including any song titles, artists, or styles of music you do not want to hear.

12. What if I don't know the name of a song?

If you are unsure of the title or artist of a song, then please ask! Baciami Entertainment is more than happy to research anything for you. Just let us know as much as you know about the song, and we will take it from there.

13. Does Baciami charge a downtown fee?

Yes. Performing inside the Chicago Loop requires 2-3 hours extra set-up and breakdown time. So we charge $200 to cover the extra time.

14. How much is the deposit for booking?

The deposit to reserve your date is $500. This secures the date and the balance is due upon reservation. Final payment for the entire package is acceptable anytime until one week before your scheduled event.

15. Is tax or gratuity included in the pricing?

In Illinois there is no sales tax on services. This means the agreed-upon fee is the absolute final price; everything is included. Gratuity or tipping is not mandatory. If you feel Baciami Entertainment exceeded your expectations, and you want to further thank our associates, then feel free to tip them.
